NEW ORLEANS—The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on July 22 that Ramapo s Alexis Appezzato has been named one of three USTFCAA Scholar Athletes of the Year for the 2013-14 academic year. Appezzato was also one of 13 NJAC women s track & field student-athletes that were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. In order to qualify for the honor, a student must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 after competing in an NCAA championship event or finishing in the top 35 in an event nationally.
